How did we get from 00001111 programming?

to languages like JavaScript?

so in the beginning there were no programming languages and programmers had to do the tedious work of writing programs in machine language. I would like to understand what makes it possible to move to english-like languages such as JavaScript?. Is it the addition of hardware, the discovery of better methods (what exactly?) or other things? How did we get from 00001111 programming?
You would need to take a multitude of college classes to understand this stuff. It is not something that you can fit into a Y!A answer. How did we get from 00001111 programming?
Computer can not read the human language. Computer have his own language using Binary Code, Hex..., and the Oct.., Code, These codes works as numbers and alphabet, and also special characters. The compiler interpret your code and tells you if its okay to execute the program.
It's just software. There was an evolution from machine code to assembler to high level languages.
